Course Progression

Medical:

8^th – 9^th Grade: Medical Skills or Principals of Public Safety

9^th – 12^th Grade: Health Science Anatomy Level 1 Honors

10^th -12^th Grade: Health Science Foundations Level 2 Honors

Students must pass the above classes to move onto the Level 3 classes. Also, these classes require a Clinical component along with a Capstone project to pass. Students will also sit for National Certification in the Level 3 classes.

11^th – 12^th Grade: Emergency Medical Responder Level 3 Honors

11^th – 12^th Grade: Electrocardiography Technician Level 3 Honors

11th – 12th Grade: 911 Telecommunicator Level 3 Honors

12^th Grade Only: Certified Nursing Assistant Level 3 Honors (Volunteer 32 hours at a Nursing Home and receive Home Health Aide endorsement)

11th and 12th Grade,: Telecommunication ,this class is to be taken both years due to hours and internship ,this class is to be taken both years due to hours and internship

12th Grade: Phlebotomy, this class is senior only and will require 25 live sticks.

Fire:

8^th – 9^th Grade: Principals of Public Safety or Medical Skills

10^th – 12^th Grade: Fire Fighting 1

10^th -12^th Grade: Fire Fighting 2

11^th – 12^th Grade: Emergency Medical Responder Level 3 Honors

11th and 12th Grade: Telecommunication: Students completing Fire 1 and 2 will be able to take this class with the understanding that they are required to to enroll in both years due to hours in class and internship.

12^th grade only: Firefighting 3

International Baccalaureate students will start in Health Science Anatomy Level 1 Honors.
