Polk State College Scholarship

It’s that time of year again!! I wanted to let you know of two key scholarship opportunities for any students interested in continuing their education at Polk State College. Please share this information with your colleagues and students.

1.       Polk State College Foundation Scholarships
With a handful of exceptions, most scholarships offered through the Polk State College Foundation can be applied for using one application. The application, accessible at http://foundation.polk.edu/scholarships/ is open now through March 15, 2019. This is currently our only application period each year for these scholarships, so we encourage any high school senior who might attend Polk State College in the fall to complete the application in order to see which scholarships s/he may qualify for.

2.    Public Service Scholar Ambassadors (PSSA) Scholarships

This scholarship is one of the most prestigious and competitive that the College offers.  It is also one of the most valuable scholarships at Polk State College, as it pays for a full 60 credit hours (e.g. an Associate in Arts degree). Students apply for this scholarship in the spring of their junior year and then they are ambassadors beginning their senior year of high school. For consideration, students must submit the attached PSSA Scholarship application and all of the required documents in the application packet no later than 5:00 p.m. on March 15, 2019.
